Ive heard of some people who work 12 hour days but only work 4 day weeks, so that they have 3 full days to themselves for their personal time, family time, hobbies, hustles, projects, etc.

Can that still lead to burnout and other things you mention in this article? Certainly. By contrast, people I know work only 6–8 hour days but work ~6 days/week. Each day, then, is a blend of work and ‘life beyond.’

Either way, I think we spend too much time working because of either some blind ‘necessity’ to careerism or in order to increase finances. Both are valid, but there’s life beyond.
